MR.INVEST is a personal investing site. There are no adverts, nothing is sold, and no data about you is ever passed to anyone for marketing. You can read every page on this site without giving anything at all — the only personal information that exists here is an email address, and only because somebody typed one in to get the newsletter.

What is collected, and why

Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter — together with the topics you picked and whether you want the email in the light or dark style. This is the only way to send you the email you asked for.
Your name, email address and profile picture from Google, if you choose “Continue with Google” instead of typing an address. Nothing else is requested from your Google account, and nothing is written back to it.
Anonymous page statistics — which pages are visited, and how often. These are counts, not people: no cookie is set for them, no profile is built, and nothing identifies you.

There is no analytics on you as an individual, no advertising network, no fingerprinting, and nothing that follows you to other websites.

Where it is kept, and who else sees it

Vercel hosts the site and provides the anonymous page counts.
Redis, on a managed host, stores the subscriber list — the address, the topics, and the dates.
Resend delivers the emails. They see the address the email is going to, because that is what delivering an email means.
Google, only if you use the Google sign-in button, and only to prove the address is yours.

That is the complete list. Nobody else receives your address, and it is never sold, rented, swapped, or used for anything other than the email you asked for.

What is stored in your browser

The site uses a small number of values in your own browser. None of them are used for advertising or tracking:

Whether you chose the light or dark theme.
Whether you have already signed up, so the site stops asking and the signup boxes disappear.
Whether you have already been shown the one-off popups, so they appear once.
If you signed in with Google, a session cookie proving it is you. Signing out removes it.

Clearing your browser data removes all of these. The site carries on working — it will simply ask you the same questions again.

How long it is kept

Your address stays on the list until you remove it. There is no other schedule and no archive: unsubscribing deletes the record outright rather than marking it inactive.

Getting rid of it

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it deletes your address, your topic choices and the dates immediately — there is nothing left behind to reactivate, and no “are you sure?” sequence to get through.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to it being used. In practice the answer to the first is always the same — an email address, a list of topics, and two dates — and the unsubscribe link handles the rest in one click. The legal basis for holding your address is your consent, given when you signed up and confirmed it by email. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it costs you nothing.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Nothing you have already given will start being used for a new purpose without asking you first.
